The Gottschild HBS 3D sanding and polishing machines offer a wide range of possibilities. You can sand and polish with the same machine!
Areas of application are the processing of assembled high-gloss furniture components, MDF high-gloss panels, acrylic glass blocks and Corian® up to lacquered loudspeaker housings.
The working height of the workpieces is 10 mm to 800 mm. Depending on the machine type, rectangular, flat or uneven parts up to a size of 3000 x 1300 x 800 mm can be machined.
With the use of standard polishing and sanding pads an optimal, evenly high-gloss surface is created. The time saved compared to manual processing is considerable.

Special machine equipment
Automatic size and height detection
The Gottschild sanding and polishing machine HBS 3D is equipped with an automatic size and height detection. This enables an automatic adjustment in case of chaotic infeed. Length and width of the parts are measured with lasers. The height adjustment takes place via a system that regulates the downward force of the tool head and adapts it to any given height. Even small irregularities on the surface are evened out by this system.
Tool Head Oscillation
By sanding and polishing the surface with the sinusoidal tool head oscillation, an even better, even high-gloss surface is created that meets even the highest demands.
With the tool head oscillation, the tool head is also moved sinusoidally in the feed direction of the conveyor belt during sanding and polishing via a 20 mm long translation axis. These different oscillating eccentric movements in connection with the special pressure control lead to an optimal sanding pattern or polishing pattern. This creates a high-quality sanding or polishing surface that is otherwise only achieved at manual workstations with eccentric polishing machines.
7" graphic operating terminal
The user interface of the Gottschild HBS-System works intuitively and simply. All parameters are easily adjustable via the graphical touch interface. The built-in data memory allows you to save your finishing parameters. These data can be called up again at any time in order to reproduce consistent quality.

Eccentric Sander Head
In just a few simple steps, the HBS 3D polishing machine becomes a fully automatic random orbital sander machine. Fine sanding with this eccentric sanding machine with 1000, 1500 or 2000 grit shortens the subsequent polishing time with an improved polishing result. The eccentric sanding gear with 5 mm grinding stroke is driven by a high-quality industrial spindle motor 1.2 KW, 400V with speeds of 6000 rpm up to 12000 rpm.
Vacuum table over the entire working width
The polishing and sanding machine HBS 3D is equipped with a vacuum table as standard, which provides more security against twisting when sanding and polishing small parts. The standard vacuum table with five rows of holes has a length of 220 mm and a width of 280 mm and is attached in the middle under the tool head. This vacuum system is equipped with a side-channel compressor.
The machine can optionally be equipped with a vacuum table over the entire working width. This option is particularly recommended when several small parts are to be processed next to each other.
